Plan food, water and breaks across the whole day you will be away, including college and travel. A short shift can sit inside a much longer stretch between leaving home and returning.
Start with the timetable you actually have. If the hostel mess or your usual meal arrangement will be unavailable when you return, make another plan before leaving.
Three questions for the workplace
Ask where drinking water is available, where you may eat or keep your food, and how breaks are arranged for the particular shift. If someone needs to cover your task, find out whom to tell.
This is planning guidance, not a statement of legal break entitlements or a personal nutrition plan.
For food-service work, FSSAI's food-handler booklet includes personal hygiene and food-handling practices. Follow the venue's instructions about eating areas, storage and hand hygiene; don't place personal food wherever there is an empty surface.
Fill the gaps in your day
Copy this original note:
Before leaving: next meal arrangement __; bottle __; food packed or planned __.
During the shift: agreed break process __; water point __; permitted storage __.
After finishing: meal option __; journey time __; backup if delayed __.
The blanks matter more than choosing an elaborate lunch. Keep any packed food in conditions suitable for it, and ask if the venue's storage is available before relying on it.

Hustl's respect for everyday work includes the practical needs of the person doing it. Discussing the day's arrangements is part of preparation.
If a shift extension would disrupt your return journey or meal plan, raise it before agreeing to the extra time. Keep a small note after the first day about what was awkward, then adjust the next day's plan rather than assuming you will somehow manage again.
