If your phone still handles classes, calls and assignments but struggles to last the day, get a battery assessment before treating replacement as inevitable. If it cannot run required software, a new battery will not solve that.

Keep a symptom note
For an ordinary college day, record when the problem happens. Does the phone drain while sitting unused? During video calls? While navigating on the commute? Is storage full, or does an essential app refuse to update?
You are collecting information for a technician, not diagnosing the battery yourself. A useful note might say: “It switched off during a call after lunch; it had been charged that morning.” Keep private messages and account information out of screenshots you send.

Arrange access to notes and class communications before handing over your device. Back up important files and follow the service provider's preparation instructions.
