1. Our commitment
Hustl is built for real-world work in Chennai and across India. Safety is a shared responsibility between Hustl, Partners, and Hustlers. This policy describes the tools and standards we use today and plan to expand.
2. Identity verification
- Hustlers: Aadhaar-based eKYC, PAN verification, and selfie/liveness match before high-trust payouts.
- Partners: Business verification including GSTIN lookup and document review for operational accounts.
- Verification status is shown in-app where relevant.
3. Location and attendance safety
- GPS check-in and check-out confirm presence at the job site.
- Live location sharing during checked-in shifts helps Partners and support locate Hustlers during active work only.
- QR codes at job sites reduce fraudulent check-ins.
- Mock location detection flags may be used to identify GPS spoofing.
4. SOS and emergency assistance
Hustlers can enable an SOS control during active shifts (when configured in settings). Triggering SOS shares your live location and booking context with Hustl support for coordination. SOS is not a replacement for calling 112 or local emergency services in immediate danger.
5. Zero-tolerance conduct
The following result in investigation and possible immediate suspension:
- Physical violence or threats
- Sexual harassment or non-consensual content
- Discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, disability, or other protected grounds
- Theft, intoxication on shift, or weapons at workplace without lawful authorisation
- Stalking or repeated unwanted contact after a job ends
6. Reporting safety issues
Report in-app via Support or email safety@hustl.today / support@hustl.today. Include booking ID, time, and description. Urgent physical danger: contact local police first, then notify us.
We may temporarily suspend accounts, preserve evidence, and cooperate with authorities where required by law.
7. Partner workplace responsibilities
Partners must:
- Provide accurate job locations and safety instructions
- Maintain reasonable workplace safety under applicable Indian law
- Not assign hazardous tasks without proper training and equipment
- Respond to Hustler safety concerns during shifts
8. Insurance (planned)
Hustl is evaluating group personal accident insurance (e.g. ACKO GPA) for Hustlers during active job hours. Coverage details, limits, and enrolment will be announced before launch. Until then, Hustlers should maintain their own insurance as independent contractors.
9. Future safety features
- Periodic face re-verification before selected shifts
- Trusted contact notifications for SOS
- Enhanced device integrity checks for fraud prevention
- In-app safety training and Partner safety ratings
We will update this policy and the Privacy Policy when these features launch.
